One of the biggest concerns right now with the VA, is those patients that have Chemo and Dialysis are having trouble getting to their appointments in both Nassau and Suffolk due to shortage of Volunteer Drivers.

New operating hours for the Peer Support Line:

o Monday to Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

o Saturday, 5-10 p.m.

o Sunday, 2-7 p.m.

If you are able to pick up for that veteran, you can call John to arrange a pick-up at their location

Coffee with a Veteran

VFW Post 2913, has taken “Coffee with a Veteran Virtual. Hosting the event on Mon, Wed, and Fri @ 12pm on Zoom. For more information contact CMDR Rogers 631-838-8944.

Masks for Veterans

CMDR Rogers, who was also the County Commander used the money for the County Dinner to provide PPE to veterans across Long Island. Providing more than 6500 masks for veterans in Suffolk County.
