Fundraiser at Rudi’s

A great night was had by all that went to Rudi’s “Salute to Veterans” Thanks to Mike and the Staff there, the post was able to raise money for our upcoming annual programs, like student scholarship programs, support for veteran related programs, and post programs.

Thanks to Past County Commander George Barrett, Past Commander Scott McKendrick and Guard Peter Palamidis for coming out.

Memorial for SGT Collins

Member of Post 2913 gathered together with recruiters from around Suffolk County, and members of the American Legion and Community to say a sad farewell to SGT Jonathan Collins, who was killed in a car crash on his way home from Alive After Five doing a recruiting event. SGT Collins has touched so many people in the community, none more so than his fellow recruiters. Members of his unit will be escorting him home to his Mother in Florida for his service.

July’s Monthly Gathering at Rudi’s

Every month members of the post gather at locations around Patchogue that support veterans to show their support. This month the members gathered at Rudi’s for their monthly gathering. Rudi’s is a big supporter of veterans in the area and what they do for the community.

Members George Egan, Scott McKendrick, Peter Palamidis, Jeff Molitor and Dave Rogers were in attendance this time.

Chamber Breakfast

Members of Post 2913 welcomed members of the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce to the Hall for their July Meeting and served Breakfast.

Commander Rogers gave an introduction to the Post, explained our programs and what we had coming up, as well as what the post was in need of to continue running and moving into the current trend for halls.

Thanks to members George Egan, Peter Palamidis and Scott McKendrick for helping out, and special thanks to Bob Rogers of the Auxiliary for cooking for the Chamber members.
