Help VFW Post 2913 to end Veterans War against PTSD and TBI here at home.
1 is 2 Many…..
22 a Day:
This number has been highly debated over the years, about how many veterans loose the battle to war here at home. While it has become somewhat of a guess due to the fact that we never really know the number, it is no doubt that even one veteran giving up to that war they brought home with them is too many for any of us.
About the Challenge:
Those that would like to be part of the challenge can sign up for a 5 day, 10 day or 20 day challenge. The days do not have to be in a row, you can do one day a week, or every other day.
Once you have picked your number of days, get friends, family, your co-workers, or just even a person you met to agree to pay as little as 1 dollar per day you do (Pick 1 or do a different one each time) 22 push-ups, 22 sit-ups, 22 pull-ups, or run two miles per day.
Be sure to take photos (videos are better) of you doing one of the challenges each day, you can even mix and match them.
Post the photos or videos to social media. Be sure to include #22aday @vfwpost2913 #vfwpost2913 so that we can see them..
At the end of your challenge ask those that pledged money to send a check, money order, or call to make a donation in your name to VFW Post 2913. Proceeds will go to help veterans in need here in Suffolk County.
“The brave men and women, who serve their country and as a result, live constantly with the war inside them, exist in a world of chaos. But the turmoil they experience isn’t who they are; the PTSD invades their minds and bodies.”
