Commander Rogers attended the Michael Murphy Sea Cadets Graduation and awarded cadet Anothony Donnadio with the VFW Sea Cadet Award for excellence.

LPCO Donnadio was very reserving of this award. Besides the numerous color guards he has attended and lead, he also has committed himself to helping with various projects and programs. Helping out Blue Star Mom’s, assisting with VetDogs and sending care packages to deployed troops.

It was clear while Commander Rogers attended why this young man deserved the award. While the cadets were getting ready if a cadets uniform was out of order or they were not sure what to do, Donnadio did not bark orders at them, he guided them and showed them the right way to do it, and explained why. He is a true leader and will be a fine addition to the Navy.
