So here we are starting another autumn. I hope we all are in good health. Not much has happened over the summer, although we do have things happening for the fall.

Due to my illness, it was necessary for me to reschedule the Breakfast Fundraiser, we are looking at dates in Nov or Dec and will keep you posted.

Nov 8: Wednesday, Emanuel Lutheran School Veteran’s Luncheon 10:00 am, @ Emanuel Lutheran Church, Main St. Patchogue. Chapel Service honoring Veterans with lunch to follow.

Nov 11: Saturday, 10:15 Veterans Day @ the Four Corners in Patchogue honoring veterans. We will start lining up at 9am.

Nov 5-24: Our own Sr. Vice Dave Rogers will be hosting a Veteran’s Art Exhibit @ Artspace Patchogue. All artwork will be done by young and seasoned veterans. A reception will be held on November 18th from 3-6 pm. It should be well attended by dignitaries. So please come down and support this very important project coordinated by Dave. (This is event is sponsored by the Suffolk County Council of the VFW, VFW Post 2913 and the VFW Auxiliary Post 2913)

There is a program going on in Patchogue called Lights on Veterans, also sponsored by Dave. You may purchase a brick in honor of a veteran which will be placed on the side of the light poles in the village. For more information on this you can go to lightsonveterans.wordpress.com
